Valencia is the Place to Be

BECAUSE of the immense list of events in Valencia for the next two years, it is the in thing in the real properties industry in mainland Spain. Valencia is host to the Spanish Formula One Grand Prix in 2008 and the America’s Cup in 2009. The Formula One Grand Prix will be held not in a racetrack but the main thoroughfares of Valencia will be converted to one whole huge racetrack. That is why properties along this route are considered hot this early. Never mind the housing industry slump across the Atlantic in the United States, Valencia is the trendiest place to be in this part of the Iberian Peninsula. Fernando Alonso will definitely be proud.

Because of those factors above, Hilton has even decided to open its hotel in Valencia. Hilton Valencia has just been open this year and room billeting has already skyrocketed even when winter season is approaching. It may not be as lively as it is during summer but during winter, honeymooning couples at Hilton Valencia will still have the grandest winter of their lives. They will be treated with fireworks especially during New Year and Christmas Eve and when you’re booked in from December 16 onwards, have a stroll towards the cathedral in Valencia for the early morning mass for nine dawns.

Then go back to your hotel suite and you will find sumptuous breakfast of cocoa and Valencia made pastries to your delight. The locals here are so devout with Catholicism that Hilton Valencia has decided to go with the flow of local culture. That is how a hotel will last after all and attracts as many customers as it can. There must be a blend of local culture flowing in.

BICE Restaurant, the five star restaurant at Hilton Valencia is now open. The posh restaurant offers Italian cuisine aside from Valencia cuisine and Mediterranean cuisine. And since Valencia is located at the Mediterranean coastline, catches of grouper, red fish, lobsters, prawns and other yummy delicacies from the sea including caviar are surely served fresh at BICE Restaurant. They are hauled straight from the shore towards the kitchen of BICE Restaurant ready to be cooked because Valencia folks hate to seafood cooked frozen. BICE Restaurant even has a display of lobsters in the restaurant where customers can walk in and choose which lobsters to be cooked.

That’s how BICE Restaurant maintains its credibility and how Hilton Valencia as a whole has gotten its blue flag accreditation this early. The reputable honor is granted only to selected hotels and beach resorts across Spain which has conformed to the utmost standards in the hospitality industry.

Also offered in BICE Restaurant are beef carpaccio and veal Milanese which are imported directly from Italy. What Valencia cannot offer, it imports. But even if the beef is imported, what is important is how the folks at BICE Restaurant have cooked it. Sanitation, hygiene, food quality control and nutrition are utmost at the hearts of the Valencia people. They will want to impart all those characteristics to tourists as well.

About

On the eastern tip of Spain, along the jewel waters of the Mediterranean sea, lies the beautiful city of Valencia.
